Start saving substantial amounts of money now and unlock your mobile phone

10 Reasons to unlock your mobile phone now with Unlock @ Home

  1. Eliminate Roaming Fees — Roaming charges can drastically increase your mobile phone bill every month. These roaming charges are based on either your current cell phone contract or the limits of service areas that your provider offers. Unlocking your mobile phone can eliminate roaming fees by allowing you to change the SIM to lower priced networks or local networks when travelling
  2. Increase Resale Value — When you decide to upgrade to a new phone, it also time to sell your old one. Unlocked mobile phones are easier to sell up to 50% more valuable than a locked one because they are compatible with more networks, which means there will be more potential buyers for your phone. Note some website mention that the resale value goes up with 200 or even 300% this is of course complete nonsense.
  3. Save money by using cheaper telecom providers - With an unlocked mobile phone you can change carriers without buying a new phone. This means you can take advantage of the best service package for your current needs. Then if your needs change, you can change providers.
  4. Save money by buying a cheaper prepaid phone and a sim only contract - All prepaid phones have a simlock because these phones are cheaper then they should be. The providers 'sponsor' these phones because they will earn the money back when you use their network to make calls, and as we all know prepaid calling is expensive. So this neat little trick allows you to buy a cheap phone and still call cheap. What you do is a buy a prepaid phone and unlock it using one of our unlock services. Then get a cheap sim-only contract (sim-only contracts often give you discounts on the monthly rate because you are not getting a phone) and use the sim-only contract simcard in your new phone!
  5. Being able to use dual sim adapters - When your phone is unlocked, there is the possibility of applying a dual SIM adapter, which allows your to have two SIM cards in the same handset. This makes your cell phone a much more versatile tool, for example you can separate work and leisure calls. Switching SIM cards can become as easy as turning your cell phone off and on again. You are in complete control of your mobile phone!
  6. Increase your service area - Being free of any provider restrictions allows you to increase your areas of service without roaming charges by choosing a provider which offers better coverage in the area where you are the most.
  7. Global Connections - Unlocking your phone may also enable dual, tri or even quad band functionality on your mobile handset. This means that your cell phone will be usable in even more countries around the globe as well as being a more valuable resale item. There is no longer any reason to own more than one cell phone handset.
  8. One-time event — Works for the life of the phone. So the small investment to unlock your phone using our service will last you a life time and will save you a lot more money!
  9. Specially designed for consumers - a lot of unlocking solutions are designed to be used in shops by professionals. Our solutions are specially designed for end users to make it as easy and fast as possible and above all 100% safe!
  10. We guarantee our service - if you fail to unlock / repair a phone using the correct cable (if needed) and the function you are trying to use is supported by the product you bought as written on this website we will 100% refund.

What about free unlocking?
When you search the internet for unlocking you will likely run into websites (mostly forums) or software that claim to offer you 'free unlocking'. Mostly you will find people giving out 'unlock codes' on forums. However these codes are NOT unlock codes but reset codes. I hear you asking, what do I care how you call it? Well because these codes reset various settings on your phone and very often way to much which ends up in destroying your phone making it useless. In case you don't believe us please do a Google search for 'phone freeze' and see how many people encounter this problem. Yes most of the time this 'phone freeze' can be easily fixed but not always everybody is that lucky.

The risks of free unlocking
Permanently Locked: Many phones (including all Nokia, Samsung, LG, Blackberry and Siemens) have a limit on how many times you can enter an unlock code. The limit is usually set to three attempts. After the third attempt you will no longer be able to unlock this phone using any unlock code. Only way to fix this is a cable unlock solution and then you have to hope there is a cable solution already supporting your phone model (it always takes a while for recently released phones to be supported  by cable solutions as the programmers need to time to research the options and software on the new phones as mobile phone brands change the lock security constantly).

Erase All Data: Many of these free unlocking codes work by exploiting a bug in some very early versions of the phone software. They provide you with a code that will remove the network lock by erasing all the data on the phone. This works on less than 2% of all phone brands and models. If you happen to be in that lucky 2%, it means you have an unlocked phone but no contacts, messages, emails, ringtones etc. However if you are in the unlucky 98% your phone will remain locked and you have just lost all your data for nothing.

Also in some cases the 'phone calibration settings' are erased which results in very bad or no reception at all. This is very difficult to repair and can only be done with special (expensive) hardware.

Void Warranty: You usually never care about your warranty until you need it. Free unlocking software usually uses low tech methods which mess with the phone its software (patching) and this will void the warranty. Using all the unlock code attempts will also void your warranty. You don't want to lose your warranty and have to purchase a new phone when you find out something is wrong with the phone 2 weeks after buying it.

Missing Instructions: When purchasing an unlock code with us, you get a full set of instructions as well as good customer support. We will assist you each step of the way. If you decide to use an unlock code you found somewhere on the internet, or some unlock software you found on a forum, your won't get any assistance and you'll end up wasting hours of your own time trying to understand what you are meant to do and why it isn't working for your phone and then after all that effort find it it just doesn't work.

Unusable Phone: Worst case scenario is when you use unlock software that renders your phone unusable. This happens a lot more than you think. We get hundreds of e-mails every day from people that have used free unlock software that are looking for assistance trying to resurrect a dead phone. Unless you have a lot of expensive equipment, there is nothing you can do. Your phone provider, phone manufacturer or phone insurance will not cover you for the bill to repair your phone. You will be stuck with a repair bill, wasted time, and a locked phone.
